Activities

In Naxos, all activities are related to the sea, the wind and summer. The beaches on the southern and south-western coast are attracting windsurfers, kitesurfers, sailing boats, rubber boats, catamarans, speedboats, water rides on the “banana”, water sky- and diving fans.

The endless sandy beaches and dirt roads of the south-western plain are fascinating routes for horse riding excursions.

The hills and valleys of the hinterland, on the other hand, with their thousands ancient paths, are ideal for walking excursions the whole year around. To really explore Naxos, try the beautiful dirt roads on a mountain bike!

The sea has the right temperature to tempt you for a sporty or simply a relaxing swim, but for those that wish for something different, there will be restless fun on the water slopes!

Discovering Naxos

There are many ways to get to know an island so full of history, sightseeing and so many different landscapes.

To get a rough idea or as a first step, you can choose the bus excursion. Independent tourists can choose to explore the island with the help of a guide, renting a car. Local tourist guides will put their knowledge of history, mythology and natural history of this island at your disposal.

There are various sport centres and gyms in town, where you can train paying by the hour, without necessarily becoming a member, and there are small soccer fields with synthetic grass.
